I gave this to my friend who takes care the runways and guiding equipment at an airport. He is in equipment like snow clearing , escorting vehicles and many times he is required to spend 10-12 hours without a lunch break. So sandwiches are mainly what he eats and fruits. He thought I wasted my money and he was ok with sandwiches; it didn’t take more than two days and he was amazed. Now he’s on the radio and letting the other six vehicles his dinner will be ready in 40 minutes. (What?) they ask; I’ll tell you later he radios. Fun and games he’s super happy he has a hot lunch. Today he went to the drag races ( we know what food costs at events). He packed his hot box go and took 2 meals. Wow, saved most likely 40$ Canadian. I was surprised that after only three days he doesn’t leave home without his heatsbox. In Canada lunch if you get a burger ( yep a burger ) not a mc d or bk. But a whopper meal or a what mc d serves ends up 20$. You go to a restaurant that makes a stir fry 16.99 a beverage taxes and a tip hits 25-30$. A little prep or leftover you save a minimum of 10 or even 20 dollars. And you know what you are eating. So, a month or so this is paid off . Or if you take a couple slices bread and put luncheon meat at 3-4$ / 100 grams. Not that great. “Cooking my lunch in a snow clearing tractor “. Very cool.
